Or Ligne Studio stands out for its unique location – at the gateway to the Étang de l’Or nature reserve, just 20 minutes from Montpellier. Fully aware of the beauty and singularity of this remarkable area, we have rehabilitated our hangars, land, and living spaces (which we have owned for over 30 years) with an eco-conscious mindset, in total harmony with nature.

Before being film and audiovisual professionals, we are above all passionate about our environment and our local traditions. We, the Or Ligneurs, want to share with you the territory we love so deeply.

L'Étang de l’Or: a 3,000 hectare lagoon

The Étang de l’Or is home to unique flora and fauna. Since 1983, this lagoon ecosystem has been recognized as a protected natural site and is now part of the European Natura 2000 network.

Located on the edge of the Étang de l’Or, in a protected natural zone, Or Ligne Studio is committed to an eco-responsible approach. We take daily actions to limit our environmental impact through numerous concrete measures.

At Or Ligne Studio, we take great pride in our privileged location within a natural zone, close to the Étang de l’Or – a true reservoir of biodiversity. Fully aware of the need to protect this fragile ecosystem and to contribute to the preservation of our environment, we are firmly committed to sustainability.
This eco-conscious mindset is reflected in all our activities and production processes, as we continually strive to reduce our ecological footprint and promote sustainable practices.

Protecting Biodiversity

As active members of the Pays de l’Or community, we see our responsibility toward local biodiversity as a top priority. We work closely with local authorities and environmental organizations to minimize our impact on the ecosystem.
During outdoor shoots, we ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and minimize any potential disturbance to wildlife and vegetation. We also encourage our teams and clients to adopt eco-friendly behavior when working in this unique natural setting.

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint

Reducing our carbon footprint is a major concern for us. We aim to adopt environmentally responsible production practices at every stage of our workflow. This includes the use of energy-efficient equipment and low-consumption technologies, as well as encouraging carpooling and public transportation for our teams and clients.
We also promote the digitalization of administrative processes and have implemented a strict recycling policy to minimize waste and encourage responsible use of resources.

Awareness and Education

We believe in the power of education and awareness to inspire positive change. We are committed to informing our employees, clients, and the general public about environmental issues — particularly those related to preserving the Étang de l’Or and its biodiversity.
We regularly organize workshops, talks, and film screenings on environmental topics. We also encourage participation in community projects focused on local environmental preservation, inviting everyone to become an active part of the change.
Green Digital Commitment

Everything is clear, we’re going green!

SPOT STUDIO, the audiovisual production company and founding member of Or Ligne Studio, has been a signatory of the ECO-PROD charter since its inception. Following its example, many of our partners actively support this eco-responsible initiative on a daily basis.

Or Ligne Studio also prioritizes suppliers (web, telecommunications, equipment, etc.) based on their ecological commitments and local environmental impact. Whenever possible, we favor green digital communication over printed materials - and when printing is necessary, we follow FSC-certified policies, ensuring that our paper products come from responsibly managed forests (ecologically sound, socially beneficial, and economically sustainable).
